Past Events
Twilight Concert
The Friends of The Elms organised the first informal musical evening soon after their formation some ten years ago. The annual Twilight Concert, held in mid February, is now a popular feature of The Elms calendar.
Garden Art @ The Elms
The first Festival of Creative Garden Art was held in January 1996, organised by a sub committee of The Elms Trust. It continued under The Elms Foundation, but with a name change in 2008 to Garden Art @ The Elms.
The original concept has been broadened to include a greater variety of arts and crafts. Music and talks in the Chapel are also part of the event.
Christmas at The Elms
The Bay of Plenty Floral Art group decorated The Elms for Christmas in 2002. By popular request the mission house, library and chapel again have a festive look for the holiday season. This will become an annual event, and a special treat for visitors from late November to early January.
Kaumatua Forum
Members of the Kaumatua Forum visited The Elms in
November of 2006. They were hosted by Jocelyn Hicks and Don Shaw,
Directors of The Elms Foundation.
