Without support from the local community The Elms | Te Papa Tauranga could not operate as it does today. We have received support from many different individuals, groups and organisations – from local volunteer guides, to sausage sizzle donations, to the considerable donations from funding bodies such as TECT, Tauranga City Council and Lotteries.
As The Elms | Te Papa Tauranga aims to expand and grow into the future, while preserving the unique history of this site, we welcome all involvement from the community in forms of donations, sponsorship and volunteers.
Volunteering
If you have an interest in history and conservation and enjoy meeting people, then consider joining our volunteer team. We rely heavily on volunteer support from the local community – people from all walks of life enjoy committing some of their spare time to guiding, conservation work, gardening, hosting Devonshire Teas and much more.
